SOLAR PARK PROJECTS IN MAHARASHTRA
474. SHRI DHANANJAY BHIMRAO MAHADIK
Will the Minister of NEW AND RENEWABLE ENERGY be pleased to state:
(a) the details of solar park projects approved and developed in the State of Maharashtra under
the Solar Park Scheme, indicating their locations, sanctioned capacity, operational capacity and
present status of implementation;
(b) the total solar power capacity generated through operational solar parks in the State and the
extent to which these parks have contributed to Maharashtra’s renewable energy targets under
the National Solar Mission; and
(c)whether local communities, farmers and cooperatives are being adequately involved in solar
park projects through land leasing, employment or revenue-sharing mechanisms and if not, the
reasons therefor?

(a) The details of Solar Parks sanctioned under the scheme for “Development of Solar Parks
and Ultra-Mega Solar Power Projects” in the State of Maharashtra is enclosed at Annexure.
(b) The total solar capacity which is operational in these Solar Parks is 100 MW.
(c) As per inputs received from Maharashtra Energy Development Agency, the local
communities are being involved in these projects through local employment during execution
and Operation & Maintenance of the project.
