Executive Summary & Key Takeaways

**Summary:** The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) is implementing the "New Solar Power Scheme for Tribal and PVTG Habitations/Villages" under the Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM-JANMAN) and Dharti Aabha Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DA JGUA). This scheme focuses on providing off-grid solar power systems to electrify one lakh unelectrified households in tribal and Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PVTG) areas across the country, including Uttarakhand, where grid connectivity is unfeasible, as identified by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs (MoTA). The concerned state implementing agency is responsible for surveying households to determine eligibility for off-grid electrification under the scheme.
