START-UPS UNDER NEXT GENERATION INCUBATION SCHEME
547. SHRI BALASHOWRY VALLABHANENI:
Will the Minister of ELECTRONICS AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY be pleased to
state:
(a) whether it is true that 135 Start-ups from Vijayawada are being supported under the Next
Generation Incubation Scheme;
(b) if so, the details thereof along with status of each of the above 135 Start-ups;
(c) the details of mentoring, financial, technical and other help extended by the Government on
the above Start-ups; and
(d) whether there are any plans to extend such support to other Tier-II cities in the country
particularly in Andhra Pradesh and if so, the details thereof?

(a) to (d): The Government of India has been promoting entrepreneurship and innovation by
nurturing technology startups through 12 Tier-II and Tier-III Software Technology Parks of
India (STPI) centres under the Next Generation Incubation Scheme (NGIS). The scheme has
concluded in September 2025.
Under NGIS, 686 startups have been supported by providing mentoring, stipends, seed funding,
networking, and incubation infrastructure, etc. A total of 133 Start-ups were supported from
Vijayawada location under NGIS.
Details and status of 133 Start-ups supported through NGIS-Vijayawada location is placed at
Annexure A.
