Parliament Question: Status and Operational Efficacy of PMFBY

SHAMBHAVI: Will the Minister of AGRICULTURE AND FARMERS WELFARE कृ िष एवं िकसान क(cid:670)ाण मं(cid:361)ी be pleased to state: (a) whether the Government has evaluated the enrollment status and operational efficacy of the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) during the agricultural seasons of 2025-26 in Bihar; (b) if so, the total number of loanee and non-loanee farmers insured, the total premium collected and the central subsidy released to the State of Bihar during the last one year; (c) the total value of crop insurance claims settled and disbursed to farmers in Bihar who suffered crop losses due to erratic rainfall or floods during this period; (d) whether the Government has noted any delays by insurance companies in conducting crop cutting experiments or settling claims in flood-prone districts of Bihar particularly in Khagaria and Samastipur Lok Sabha constituency; and (e) the steps taken by the Government to integrate remote sensing and drone technologies to expedite damage assessment in Bihar? State Government of Bihar didn’t implement the scheme in 2025-26. (b) to (e) : Does not arise. ******
