Status of Ayush hospitals and doctors in Odisha
323. Shri Manas Ranjan Mangaraj:
Will the Minister of Ayush be pleased to state:
(a) the number of Ayush medical colleges, hospitals and doctors available in the State of
Odisha, district-wise;
(b) whether the Ministry is aware of the reports regarding inadequate infrastructure and
shortage of teaching faculty in certain Ayush institutions in the State;
(c) the action taken by the Ministry to address these gaps; and
(d) the financial assistance released to Odisha under National Ayush Mission (NAM) during
the last three years?
ANSWER

(SHRI PRATAPRAO JADHAV)
(a) to (c): As reported by the State Government, a total number of 13 Ayush medical colleges,
9 Ayush hospitals, and 1130 Ayush doctors are available in the State of Odisha. The district-
wise details thereof are furnished at Annexure-I & Annexure-II. Further, at present, no
information regarding inadequate infrastructure in Ayush institutions has been reported by
the State of Odisha. Further, the State Government has initiated the recruitment process for
regular Lecturer posts and continues to conduct annual Departmental Promotion Committee
(DPC) meetings to fill promotional posts of Reader and Professor in Ayush institutions.
(d): Under National Ayush Mission (NAM), a Centrally Sponsored Scheme of the Ministry of
Ayush, a total amount of ₹23.69 crore has been provided to the State of Odisha during the
last three years, i.e. from 2022–23 to 2024–25.
