**Summary:**
This document summarizes the current status of the Bargarh-Nuapada railway line project in response to Lok Sabha Unstarred Question No. 514. The Bargarh Road-Nawapara Road new line project, spanning 138.32 km, has been sanctioned at a cost of ₹2622 Crore. It has been designated as a special railway project to expedite land acquisition through the State Government. A Competent Authority for Land Acquisition (CALA) has been appointed, and notifications for land acquisition have been issued for select villages. The allocated outlay for the financial year 2025-26 is ₹43 Crore. The Minister of Railways, Information Broadcasting and Electronics Information Technology, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, acknowledges that project completion is contingent upon factors including timely land acquisition, forest clearances, cost-sharing contributions from the State Government, project prioritization, utility shifting, statutory clearances, geological and topographical conditions, law and order, and suitable weather conditions for construction. The estimated expenditure incurred till date is not explicitly stated in the provided text, nor is a specific timeline for land acquisition, tender issuance, or project completion provided, due to the dependencies outlined above.
