STATUS OF NATIONAL SC/ST HUB (NSSH) IN ANDHRA PRADESH

Will the Minister of MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES be pleased to state:
(a) the details of funds allocated and utilized for the National SC/ST Hub (NSSH) in the State of
Andhra Pradesh during the last five years;
(b) the number of SC/ST entrepreneurs supported and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises
(MSMEs) registered under the scheme during the last five years, district-wise in the State;
(c) the details of the present implementation status regarding capacity building, mentoring, and
credit facilitation provided to SC/ST entrepreneurs in the State; and
(d) the details of procurement linkages established to enable SC/ST-owned MSMEs in the State of
Andhra Pradesh to participate in the Central Government tenders and exhibitions?

(a): The National Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Hub (NSSH) Scheme a Central Sector
Scheme. Funds allocated under the scheme are being released to the implementing agency i.e.,
National Small Industries Corporation Limited (NSIC), a CPSE under this Ministry. NSIC utilizes the
fund to carry out various activities under the scheme across the country. Details of fund utilized by
NSIC in the State of Andhra Pradesh under the Scheme during last five years is as under:

(b): A total of 1436 SC/ST entrepreneurs/MSEs were supported under NSSH Scheme during last

(c): To achieve the objectives under NSSH Scheme, several steps have been taken up, such as
Special Credit Linked Capital subsidy Scheme (SCLCSS), capacity building programs and training to
enhance competitiveness, market linkages, etc. A total of 3639 SC/ST entrepreneurs from the State of
Andhra Pradesh have been facilitated under various components of NSSH Scheme so far since its
inception.
(d): To enhance the participation of SC/ST entrepreneurs in public procurement, 15 National SC-
ST Hub Offices (NSSHOs) have been established across the country to provide handholding support
in areas such as tender participation, credit facilitation, Udyam Registration, GeM registration etc.
These NSSHOs also support in organizing e-tendering and awareness Programs, Special Vendor
Development Programs, etc. to create awareness and facilitate in enhancing public procurement. One
NSSHO has been established at Hyderabad to serve SC/ST entrepreneurs from the States of Andhra
Pradesh and Telangana.
