being structured and staffed;
(c) the measures in place to ensure small/marginal farmers adopt modern practices
under PMDDKY;
(d) the steps to monitor improvements in irrigation, storage, and post-harvest facilities;
(e) the role of agricultural scientists and ICAR/KVK in supporting scheme objectives;

(a): The Union Cabinet approved the Prime Minister Dhan-Dhaanya Krishi Yojana
(PMDDKY) on 16th July, 2025 to cover 100 districts. The scheme aims to enhance

(c): The Scheme will be implemented through convergence of 36 existing schemes
across 11 Departments, other State schemes and local partnerships with the private
sector, with focus on farmers of these districts.
(d): Progress of the Scheme in each Dhan-Dhaanya Krishi district will be monitored on
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) through a dashboard on monthly basis. These output
and outcome indicators, pertaining to all 36 existing schemes to be converged across 11
Departments, will cover indicators on improvement in productivity, irrigation, storage, and
post-harvest facilities, adoption of crop diversification and sustainable agricultural
practices, credit availability, skilling etc.
(e): Each Dhan-Dhaanya Krishi Yojana (DDKY) district will be assigned a Central
Agricultural University (CAU)/State Agricultural University (SAU) as knowledge partner.
Districts’ KVK has critical role in strengthening extension activities.
(f) & (g): Existing schemes of Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare that will
be converged under PM-DDKY for yield improvement, crop diversification, income gains &
climate resilience are at Annexure. The district plan is envisaged to provision for effective
addressing of productivity & cropping intensity gaps. KPIs of these schemes will be
tracked monthly. Convergence of National Mission on Natural Farming, Per Drop More
Crop & other missions, under technical guidance of knowledge partner will integrate
