(a) the national strategy for developing 'Software Technology Parks of India' (STPI) in Tier-2 and
Tier3 cities;
(b) the performance of the 'STPI' centres in Andhra Pradesh particularly in Visakhapatnam,
Vijayawada and Kakinada;
(c) whether the Government is aware of the growing 'IT/ITeS' ecosystem in Rajahmundry and the
demand for an 'STPI Incubation Centre';
(d) the status of any proposal of the Government to establish an 'STPI' centre or a 'Centre of
Excellence' for 'emerging technologies' (like AI in agriculture) in Rajahmundry; and
(e) the steps to support Business Process Outsourcing (BPOs) and Knowledge Process Outsourcing
(KPOs) in setting up operations in Rajahmundry to create local employment?

including Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities. The performance of this sector over the last 5 years and estimates
for 2024-25 are mentioned below:

are located in Tier-2 & Tier-3 cities.

Centres of Entrepreneurship (CoEs) have been established by STPI across India supporting 1000
startups.
