Supply of Fertilizers in Telangana

Will the Minister of CHEMICALS AND FERTILIZERS be pleased to state:
(a) whether it is true that fertilizers are not being supplied on time to farmers in
Telangana, if so, the details thereof;
(b) whether fertilizers are being distributed through queues and passbook system,
if so, the details thereof and the reasons therefor;
(c) the requirement of different types of fertilizers in Telangana; and
(d) the details of subsidies being given on fertilizers?

(a) to (c) The availability of fertilizers viz. Urea, DAP, MOP and NPKS remained
adequate in the State of Telangana during the ongoing Rabi 2025-26 season. The
information regarding requirement, availability, sales and closing stock of these
fertilizers in the State of Telangana during the ongoing Rabi 2025-26 season is as
under:

However, the distribution of fertilizers within the State at district level is done by the
respective State Government.
Accordingly, as per information received from the State Government of Telangana,
fertilizers are distributed through token system duly verifying the genuineness of the
farmers through their Pattadar Pass Books. To overcome this, the Government has
introduced IT based solution of Mobile based Urea Booking app which facilitates the
farmers to prebook the fertilizers from their home.
(d) The details of total expenditure incurred under the subsidy scheme of various
fertilizers, namely Indigenous P&K, Imported P&K, Imported Urea and Indigenous
Urea, during the last year 2024-25 is as under:
