SANDHYA RAY: Will the Minister of AGRICULTURE AND FARMERS WELFARE कृ(cid:874)ष एवं (cid:873)कसान क(cid:227)याण मं(cid:287)ी be pleased to state: (a) the total amount provisioned for the agriculture sector, irrigation, crop diversification and enhancement of farmers income in the Union Budget 2026-27; (b) whether any special financial assistance, project or pilot scheme has been approved in the Union Budget 2026-27 for farmers of Madhya Pradesh particularly Bhind and Datia districts; (c) whether the Government is contemplating providing a special package for expansion of irrigation facilities, promotion of drip/sprinkler systems and water conservation in the Chambal region (Bhind-Datia) (d) whether the Government proposes to provide assistance for establishment of crop processing units, cold storage, warehouses and agricultural export hubs in these districts; (e) whether there is any proposal to extend special benefits to farmers in Bhind and Datia districts under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana and the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sichai Yojana; and (f) if so, the estimated cost of the proposed schemes, the number of beneficiaries and the timelines for implementation thereof? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE FOR AGRICULTURE AND FARMERS WELFARE कृ(cid:874)ष एवं (cid:873)कसान क(cid:227)याण रा(cid:207)य मं(cid:287)ी (SHRI BHAGIRATH CHOUDHARY) (a): The Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare has been allocated ₹1,40,528.78 crore in Budget Estimates 2026–27, which is an increase of 5.4% over the Revised Estimates 2025–26, reflecting sustained emphasis on agriculture and allied sectors. Out of this, ₹1,30,561.38 crore has been allocated to the Department of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare and ₹9,967.40 crore to the Department of Agricultural Research & Education. (b): There is no district-specific financial assistance or pilot scheme. However, farmers in Bhind and Datia may avail benefits from various Central Sector and Centrally Sponsored Schemes implemented across the country including the State of Madhya Pradesh as per the guidelines, eligibility and priority of State in their Annual Action Plan.(c) & (d): Expansion of irrigation facilities, promotion of micro-irrigation systems such as drip and sprinkler irrigation and water conservation are being supported under Per Drop More Crop. Assistance for establishment of crop processing units, cold storage, warehouses and agricultural infrastructure is provided under schemes such as the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund, Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY), Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs). Assistance for such activities is provided to States/Union Territories including Madhya Pradesh, which may implement projects in regions such as the Chambal Region, ( Bhind District and Datia District) as per State priorities and approved plans. Government of India is implementing several Central Sector as well as Centrally Sponsored Schemes and programmes for the welfare of farmers across the country including Madhya Pradesh under which financial assistance and subsidies are provided to farmers, Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs), Self Help Groups (SHGs) and entrepreneurs with a view to promoting employment generation, entrepreneurship and income enhancement in rural areas.Annexure Major schemes implemented by the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare 1.
