* Projects include: Cashew Nut Processing Cluster (Meghalaya), Food Processing Clusters (Nagaland), Honey, Spices Food Processing Cluster (Nagaland), Bamboo Incense Stick Making Cluster (Assam), and Animal Feeds Cluster (Nagaland).
New Clusters/Incubation Centers:
* There are currently no plans to establish new clusters or incubation centers for value-added agricultural processing in Karbi Anglong and Dima Hasao districts.

(a) Whether the Government is supporting Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) engaged
in processing turmeric, ginger, bamboo and other agricultural produce in the North Eastern states,
particularly in the districts of Karbi Anglong and Dima Hasao;
(b) if so, the number of such enterprises assisted during the last three years and the financial support
extended; and
(c) whether any new clusters or incubation centres are planned in these districts for value-added
agricultural processing and if so, the details thereof?

(a): Yes, Government is implementing various schemes/programmes to support Micro, Small and
Medium Enterprises engaged in processing turmeric, ginger, bamboo and other agricultural produce
across the country including North Eastern states and districts of Karbi Anglong and Dima Hasao. These
include Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP), Micro & Small Enterprises
Cluster Development Programme (MSE-CDP).
(b): Under PMEGP, number of micro enterprises assisted which are engaged in processing turmeric,
ginger, bamboo and other agricultural produce in the Northeastern States in the last 3 years i.e. FY 2022-

agricultural processing in the districts of Karbi Anglong and Dima Hasao.
