SUPPORT TO MSMEs THROUGH EXPORT FACILITATION CENTRES
1918. SHRI KESINENI SIVANATH:
Will the Minister of MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES be pleased to state:
(a) the details of the Export Facilitation Centres (EFCs) established by the Government, State and
year-wise;
(b) the number of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) supported through EFCs along
with the type of support provided, State-wise;
(c) the total funds allocated, released and utilised for setting up and operating EFCs since their
inception classified, State-wise;
(d) the details of training programmes conducted by EFCs for MSMEs since their inception along
with the list of beneficiaries, gender-wise and State-wise; and
(e) whether the Government has tracked improvements in export performance or market access for
MSMEs supported under such centres and if so, the outcomes thereof?

(a): The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises has established 65 Export Facilitation
Centers (EFCs) across the country with the aim of providing requisite mentoring and handholding
support to MSMEs in exporting their products and services. State wise list of EFCs is at Annexure I.
(b): Export Facilitation Centres (EFCs) serve to support MSME exporters by providing
comprehensive assistance across key areas. These include dissemination of information on export-
related schemes and benefits, training and workshops on export compliance, handholding in export
documentation and procedures, engagement with industry associations, State Governments, and DGFT
to facilitate MSMEs.
The total number of MSMEs supported by Export Facilitation Centres (EFCs) is at Annexure II.
(c): No separate funds have been allocated for setting up of Export Facilitation Centres (EFCs) as
they are established in the field Offices of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.
(d): The total number of training/workshop/progammes conducted by Export Facilitation Centres
(EFCs) is at Annexure III.
(e): While specific data on export performance is not maintained at present, the Export Facilitation
Centres have been instrumental in providing guidance and support to MSMEs, which is expected to
contribute positively in their exports.
