SHRI PUSHPENDRA SAROJ: Will the Minister of SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY be pleased to state: (a) the number of SC, ST, OBC and General Category students supported under the INSPIRE Award-MANAK Scheme since 2022, State and district-wise particularly for Uttar Pradesh; (b) the total amount of innovation grants sanctioned and disbursed to schools and students in the State of Uttar Pradesh under the scheme; (c) the number of prototypes funded under the scheme in Uttar Pradesh that progressed to the national-level exhibition stage; (d) whether any follow-up funding for incubation or patent facilitation has been received, if so, the details thereof; and (e) whether any targeted outreach programmes have been undertaken in high SC/ST-populated areas of the State to promote participation in innovation schemes, if so, the details thereof? This includes 32,138 from the General category, 71,790 from the OBC category, 23,184 from the SC category, and 13,204 from the ST category. The state-wise list is Page 1 of 6provided in Annexure–I, and the district-wise list for Uttar Pradesh is attached as Annexure–II. (b) An amount of ₹8,67,50,000/- was sanctioned for 8,675 selected students under the INSPIRE-MANAK scheme since 2022, at the rate of ₹10,000 per student. The sanctioned funds were provided for the preparation of projects/models, showcasing of ideas, and participation in exhibitions conducted at the district, state, and national levels. (c) Under the scheme, thirty student prototypes from Uttar Pradesh progressed to the national-level exhibition stage. (d) Three students from Uttar Pradesh were recognized at the national level, and patent applications have been filed for their innovations. (e) A total of 20 online awareness workshops were organized in Uttar Pradesh under the INSPIRE-MANAK scheme between 2022 and 2025. Out of these, four workshops were conducted specifically for teachers from SC/ST-dominated areas to promote greater student participation in the program.
