Will the Minister of COMMUNICATIONS be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Department of Posts proposes to suspend booking and transmission of all
categories of mail items except letters, documents and gifts worth up to $100 to the U.S.; and
(b) if so, the details thereof and the reasons therefor?

(a) There is no proposal under consideration to suspend booking and transmission of any
category of mail item to the U.S. All the postal services of India Post to the U.S. are currently
operational.
