TARGET FIXED TO BUILD HOUSES UNDER PMAY-G
1548. Shri MurariLalMeena:
Will the Minister of RURAL DEVELOPMENT be pleased to state:
(a) the details and number of houses targeted by the Government to
be built under the Pradhan MantriAwasYojanaGramin (PMAY-G),
State and district-wise including Rajasthan;
(b) whether it is a fact that the construction of few houses has been
completed so far as compared to the targeted houses and the
number of houses still pending to be constructed, if so, the details
thereof, State-wise including Rajasthan;
(c) whether the Government has reviewed the progress of this
scheme, particularly in respect of the districts of DausaLokSabha
Constituency;
(d) if so, the status of the houses under construction, State, year and
zone-wise including Rajasthan;
(e) the number of houses sanctioned and constructed particularly in
the districts falling under DausaLokSabha Constituency, State-wise;
and
(f) the details of financial assistance released for the same, State-
wise?
ANSWER
MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF RURAL DEVELOPMENT

(a) & (b): In order to achieve the objective of "Housing for All" in
rural areas, the Ministry of Rural Development is implementing
Pradhan MantriAwaasYojana- Gramin (PMAY-G) with effect from 1st
April 2016 to provide assistance to eligible rural households for the
construction of pucca houses with basic amenities with a
cumulative target of 4.95 crore houses by March 2029. The Union
Cabinet has approved the proposal for the continuation of PMAY-G
during FY 2024-25 to 2028-29 for construction of 2 crore additional
houses. As on 24.7.2025, a total target of 4.12 crore has been
Page 1 of 8allocated by the Ministry, out of which 3.84 crore houses have been
sanctioned by the States/UTs and 2.81 crore houses have been
completed.
The detail of number of targets, houses sanctioned, houses
completed and pending for construction, State-wise including the
State of Rajasthan may be seen at Annexure-I. Further, the district-
wise progress of each State may be seen at

(c): Review of implementation of PMAY-G is an ongoing process.
The Scheme is reviewed through Performance Review Committee
Meetings, Common Review Mission, Area Officers Schemes, District
Development Co-ordination and Monitoring Committee named as
“DISHA” Committee, Reports of National Level Monitors etc. besides
regular field visits by the officers of the Ministry. Recently, PRC
meetings have been held with all the State/UTs on 14th and 15th July
2025.
A total target of 4,12,31,890 houses has been allocated to
States/UTs including the State of Rajasthan, out of which a total of
3,84,28,293 houses has been sanctioned and 2,80,98,378 houses
have been completed by the States/UTs as on 24.07.2025. Also, a
total of 11,188 houses have been sanctioned and 8,849 houses have
been completed in DausaLokSabha Constituency as on 24.07.2025.
(d): The details of houses targeted, sanctioned and completed,
State-wise and Year-wise may be seen at Annexure – II.
(e): The total number of houses sanctioned and completed, State-
wise is already given at Annexure- I.
Further, the houses sanctioned and completed in the districts
of DausaLokSabha Constituency as on 24.07.2025 are as follows:
