ANSWER
THE MINISTER OF STATE (INDEPENDENT CHARGE) IN THE MINISTRY OF SKILL
DEVELOPMENT AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP
(SHRI JAYANT CHAUDHARY)
(a) There is one operational Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra (PMKK) namely ‘Jeyram
Educational Trust’ in the Perambalur Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituency.
(b) & (c) Under PMKVY, placements were tracked in the STT component in the first three
versions of the scheme, i.e, PMKVY 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0. Under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana
4.0 (PMKVY 4.0), which is under implementation since 2022, the focus is to empower our trained
candidates to choose their varied career path and they are suitably oriented for the same through
industry-relevant skill courses that include On-the-Job Training (OJT). The sector-wise number of
candidates trained and certified across the country under PMKVY 4.0 during FY 2025–26, as on
31.12.2025, is given at Annexure.
(d) Under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana 4.0 (PMKVY 4.0), courses are identified based
on local industry demand and employment potential. The details of courses offered under PMKVY
4.0, including those addressing onion processing and maize milling covered under food processing
job roles, as well as the requirements of industries located in State Industries Promotion Corporation
of Tamil Nadu (SIPCOT) covering electrical, manufacturing and logistics-related job roles,
are available on Ministry’s website at https://www.msde.gov.in/documents?page=1.
(e) The PMKVY 4.0 is a demand driven scheme in which targets are allocated to Training
Partners, including State Skill Development Missions (SSDMs), industry associations, based on the
proposals submitted by training partners. Under PMKVY 4.0, a total of Rs. 100.46 crore has been
disbursed to training centres located in Tamil Nadu. Out of this, Rs. 10.85 crore has been disbursed
to training centres located in Perambalur Lok Sabha Constituency which consists of Karur,
Perambalur and Tiruchirappalli district. Further, sanction of new PMKKs happens through a free, fair
and transparent RFP process. Currently, there is no proposal for setting up of new PMKK in the said
constituency.Annexure
