Will the Minister of HOME AFFAIRS be pleased to state:
(a) the transfer policy of officers in the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar
Haveli and Daman and Diu;
(b) whether the Government is aware that many officers are working in the
said UTs despite the completion of their tenure and if so, the details thereof;
(c) the number of such officers in Daman and Diu who are still holding the
posts despite their transfer and completion of their tenure; and
(d) the details of the steps taken by the Government to relieve such
officers from their charge?

(a) to (d): The transfer/posting of IAS/IPS officers of AGMUT cadre and
DANICS/DANIPS officers in the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli
and Daman and Diu are governed by the Guidelines issued vide MHA’s letter
No. 14012/01/2016-UTS.I dated 09.11.2016 and MHA’s letter No.
14020/05/2008-UTS.II (Vol.II) dated 29.11.2016. The transfer/posting orders
are issued as per these guidelines subject to administrative requirements
and in public interest.
