ANSWER
MINISTER OF STATE FOR MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES
(SUSHRI SHOBHA KARANDLAJE)
(a), (b), (c) & (e): The Udyam Sakhi Portal was conceptualized and launched in 2018 to promote
women entrepreneurship by providing a digital platform offering information on Government
schemes, policies, programmes, business planning, financial assistance, mentoring, training,
exhibitions and other support services to enable women to establish and expand their enterprises. An
expenditure of ₹43.52 lakh was incurred towards the development of the Portal in 2018. Thereafter,
no separate budgetary allocation or project-wise fund allocation/utilisation has been made for the
Udyam Sakhi Portal. A total of 4580 women entrepreneurs had registered on the Portal, and the
State-wise details of beneficiaries, including Uttarakhand are placed at Annexure-I.
Subsequently, in view of the Government's efforts to mainstream support for women
entrepreneurs through a unified digital ecosystem comprising the Udyam Registration Portal (URP),
Udyam Assist Platform (UAP) and the Ministry's Yashasvini Initiative, the objectives of the Udyam
Sakhi Portal have been subsumed under these platforms. Accordingly, the Udyam Sakhi Portal has
been discontinued and a communication in this regard has been issued vide OM dated 01.01.2026.
Women entrepreneurs registered on the Udyam Sakhi Portal have been onboarded to the Udyam
Registration Portal/Udyam Assist Platform.
(d): Ministry of MSME has launched several schemes for the economic empowerment of
MSMEs (including women owned MSMEs) such as Prime Minister's Employment Generation
Programme (PMEGP), Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises (CGTMSE),
IC Scheme, Coir Vikas Yojana, SFURTI, ESDP and other interventions. The State-wise details of
registered beneficiaries under the said scheme are placed as Annexure-II.

for answer on 6th August, 2026, regarding the number of women who have been registered and
benefitted through the Udyam Sakhi Portal, State-wise, including the State of Madhya
Pradesh.
