Will the Minister of Communications be pleased to state:
(a) the details of unused lands in Kerala owned by the Postal department and the area (in hectares) of such unutilized acquired or purchased lands in the Stateอพ and
(b) whether any plans are proposed by the Department to construct post Office buildings or lease out such unused lands? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE FOR COMMUNICATIONS AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT (DR. PEMMASANI CHANDRA SEKHAR)
(a) The number of unused lands in Kerala owned by the Postal department is 134 as on date and area is 13.281 hectares.
(b) Yes sir. Construction of Post Office buildings on 11 such unused land parcels have been approved. There is no proposal at present to lease out any of these unused lands. ***** 1
