Will the Minister of TEXTILES वस्त्र मंत्री
be pleased to state :
(a) whether the Government proposes to utilise the land owned by Parvathy Mills Kollam under
National Textiles Corporation for public purpose and if so, the action taken thereon;
(b) whether the Government initiated action and submit application before Delhi High Court for the
speedy disposal of arbitration case with respect to Parvathy Mills at Kollam;
(c) if so, the details of action taken thereon;
(d) whether the Ministry received request from public representative, Employees State Insurance
Corporation and Ministry of Labour requesting to handover the land owned by Parvathy Mills to ESIC
for upgrading the Asramam ESIC Model and Super Specialty Hospital into a Medical College and if
so, the details of action taken thereon; and
(e) the present status of arbitration case pending before the Delhi High Court and the details of
application filed before the Court for speedy disposal of the case?

(a)to(e): Parvathy Mill, Kollam under National Textile Corporation (NTC) is one of the 11 Mills
slated for revival through Joint Venture(JV) route. NTC cancelled the Memorandum of
Understanding(MoU) for JV arrangement. The JV Partner has challenged the Arbitral award in the
Hon'ble High Court of Delhi. NTC has been advised to suitably represent before Hon'ble High
Court for early disposal of the matter.
