“Vacancies in Ayush Ministry”
337. Shri Golla Baburao:
Will the Minister of Ayush be pleased to state:
a) whether DoPT directed to constitute an In-House Committee for identification of backlog
reserved vacancies, study the root cause of such vacancies, initiate measures to fill them
through Recruitment Drives.
b) when In-House Committee, Liaison officer and Special Reservation Cell were
constituted by the Ministry to identity backlog reserved vacancies;
c) whether the Ministry studied root cause of such vacancies; and
d) when the Ministry initiated measures to fill vacancies through Special Recruitment
Drives and what is the status of reserved vacancies since constitution of In-House
Committee and till now?

a) & b) Ministry of Ayush has, from time to time, followed the rules and regulations
issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT). In compliance with these
instructions, the Ministry Constituted Reservation Cell and designated Liaison Officers, from
time to time, for SC/ST/OBC matters to monitor reservation rosters, identify backlog reserved
vacancies, and ensure compliance with the extant reservation provisions.
c) & d) Ministry of Ayush has examined the reasons for occurrence of backlog reserved
vacancies through the Reservation Cell constituted for the purpose. Vacancies and backlog
vacancies arise as a continuous process due to retirement, resignation, promotion and other
service-related reasons.
