MS. MAHUA MOITRA: Will the PRIME MINISTER be pleased to state: (a) whether the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions have hired contractual employees since the year 2014; and (b) if so, the details thereof, year and category-wise? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF PERSONNEL, PUBLIC GRIEVANCES AND PENSIONS AND MINISTER OF STATE IN THE PRIME MINISTER’S OFFICE (DR. JITENDRA SINGH) (a) & (b): To meet the administrative exigencies of work and operational requirements, the Ministry hires/outsources the manpower services through a contract with the qualified service provider agencies under the provisions of General Financial Rules 2017. The details of service provision including the number of personnel, term of service, payment obligations and other important terms and conditions governing the hired services are specified in the Contract. *****
