1726. # SHRI GOVIND MAKTHAPPA KARJOL:
Will the Minister of COAL be pleased to state:
(a) the details of number of posts lying vacant in all PSUs, allied offices including backlog vacancies under the Ministry;
(b) the details of the posts vacant in the State of Karnataka under the Ministry of Coal and all its PSUs, allied offices, including backlog vacancies,
(c) whether the Government has taken adequate steps to fill up the vacancies falling under the Ministry of Coal and all its PSUs, allied offices, including backlog vacancies; and
(d) if so, the details thereof? ANSWER MINISTER OF COAL AND MINES (SHRI G. KISHAN REDDY)
(a): The details of the number of posts lying vacant in Coal PSUs and allied offices including
backlog vacancies under the Ministry is as per following:
Sr. No. Name of Coal PSUs and Allied offices Total Number of Vacancies 1 Coal India Limited (CIL) and its subsidiaries 6751 2 Neyveli Lignite Corporation Limited (NLCIL) 1862 3 Coal Controller Organization (CCO) 87 4 Coal Mine Provident Fund Organization (CMPFO) 307 Total 9007
(b): There is no Coal PSU or any allied office of Ministry of Coal in the State of Karnataka.
(c) & (d): With regards to the Board Level posts, the Ministry regularly intimates the vacancies to Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) in time for filling up of the vacancies. As regards other posts, notifications are issued from time to time for appointments against the existing vacant posts.
