Will the Minister of FISHERIES, ANIMAL HUSBANDRY AND DAIRYING

be pleased to state:
(a) the details of the projects sanctioned for Bhiwandi region of Maharashtra under the
National Livestock Mission;
(b) the number of vaccines administered for vaccination of animals in Bhiwandi region
during the last five years;
(c) whether the Government is planning to develop modern milk collection and cold chain
infrastructure in Bhiwandi; and
(d) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor?
ANSWER
THE MINISTER OF FISHERIES, ANIMAL HUSBANDRY AND DAIRYING
(SHRI RAJIV RANJAN SINGH ALIAS LALAN SINGH)
(a) Under National Livestock Mission (NLM), one project has been sanctioned for Bhiwandi
region of Maharashtra. The details are as under:
i. Name & Address: Shri Vikas Ramchandra Jadhav, Post- Dighashi,
Taluka - Bhiwandi, District –Thane, Maharashtra.
ii. Project: 300+15 Goat Entrepreneurship.
iii. NLM ID/Approval date: NLM202309230000212/19.04.2024.
iv. Status: Project in progress, first instalment of Rs. 14.62482 lakh released.
(b) As reported by the State of Maharashtra, the number of vaccines administered for
vaccination of animals in Bhiwandi region during the last five years is placed as Annexure
1.
(c) & (d) Not applicable, as no project has so far been received from the State of Maharashtra
to develop modern milk collection under National Program for Dairy Development
(NPDD) scheme for Bhiwandi.Annexure 1
As reported by the State of Maharashtra, the number of vaccines administered for vaccination of
