Parliament Question: Voluntary Retirement Scheme in RINL

GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF STEEL RAJYA SABHA UNSTARRED QUESTION NO. 2548 FOR ANSWER ON 13.03.2026 VOLUNTARY RETIREMENT SCHEME IN RINL 2548. SHRI GOLLA BABURAO: Will the Minister of STEEL be pleased to state: (a) whether Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL) has announced 2nd Voluntary Retirement Scheme (VRS) for its employees and workers; (b) if so, the details thereof; (c) whether the scheme opened on 15th July, 2025 and closed on 18th July, 2025; (d) number of employees and workers who submitted application for VRS; (e) the benefits being affected by VRS-II and the manner it is different from VRS-I; (f) status of 1st VRS announced by RINL and status of implementation of revival plan/privatization of RINL; and (g) whether RINL has announced 3rd VRS in last week of December, 2025, if so, the reasons therefor?
