* Uttar Pradesh received the highest CFA at Rs. 87.99 Crores, followed by Punjab at Rs. 64.11 Crores and Haryana at Rs. 54.96 Crores.

(a) the details of applications received under Waste to Energy Programme along with the
projects that have been approved, State-wise;
(b) the data on the quantity of energy generated from the approved projects, State-wise;
(c) whether the energy generated is being fully utilised and if so, the details of the plants
allocated in accordance with the type of energy, State-wise; and
(d) whether the Government is maintaining State-wise records regarding the Central Financial
Assistance (CFA) allocated to these projects, if so, the details thereof State-wise and if not, the
reasons therefor?

generated is utilized in following applications may be seen below:
i. Biogas: Used in boilers and gas engines to generate electricity
ii. Bio-CNG: Used as a clean transportation fuel to replace natural gas
iii. Biomass Gasifier: Used for thermal and electrical applications
