ANSWER
MINISTER OF STATE IN MINISTRY OF RURAL DEVELOPMENT
(DR. CHANDRA SEKHAR PEMMASANI)
(a) to (c): The Department of Land Resources, under Watershed Development Component of
Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana 2.0 (WDC-PMKSY 2.0) has sanctioned 140
projects covering 30 Districts in Maharashtra and 91 projects covering 36 Districts in
Madhya Pradesh. WDC-PMKSY2.0 is not implemented in Union Territory of Dadra and
Nagar Haveli. As per information received from State Level Nodal Agency (SLNA)
implementing WDC-PMKSY 2.0 in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh, District-wise details
of WDC-PMKSY 2.0 projects sanctioned, ongoing and completed is given at Annexure I &
Annexure II respectively.
(d) The sanctioned project period of WDC-PMKSY 2.0 was upto 31.03.2026. The ongoing
WDC-PMKSY 2.0 programme was sanctioned by the Government in December 2021 instead
of April 2021 due to various administrative reasons. As a result, DoLR could sanction the
projects in States /UTs during January-February 2022 and the on ground implementation
started from April 2022 onwards. Accordingly, all ongoing WDC-PMKSY2.0 projects are in
advance stage of implementation. However, there is no cost overrun in projects. For effective
completion and achieving desirable outcomes, the project period of WDC-PMKSY 2.0
projects has been extended by six months i.e. from 01.04.2026 to 30.09.2026.
