(a) to (b) Extension, Renovation and Modernization of West Kosi Canal Project has been appraised by the
Advisory Committee of DoWR,RD&GR in its 159th meeting held on 8th July 2025 at an estimated cost of
Rs 8338.89 crore at June 2025 price level, subject to Statutory Clearances and State Finance Concurrence.
The process for inclusion of a project for funding under the ongoing schemes of this Ministry is
initiated only after statutory clearances to the project, hence no central assistance has been provided to this
project so far.
