Ms MAHUA MOITRA: Will the Minister of EARTH SCIENCES be pleased to state: (a) whether the Government is considering to use the Wind Turbines in generating water from moisture in air for coastal areas and separating oxygen from air for larger societal benefit; and (b) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE (INDEPENDENT CHARGE) FOR MINISTRY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY AND EARTH SCIENCES (DR. JITENDRA SINGH) (a) & (b) The Electricity produced from Wind Turbines can be utilized to generate water from moisture in air through condensation process. However, this technology is still at a nascent R&D stage.
