Parliament Question: Women in Farmer’s Producer Organizations

SHRI JAGADISH CHANDRA BARMA BASUNIA: Will the Minister of AGRICULTURE AND FARMERS WELFARE कृ(cid:874)ष एवं (cid:873)कसान क(cid:227)याण म(cid:287)ं ी be pleased to state: (a) the total number of Farmer’s Producer Organizations (FPOs) in the country as of 1st March 2026; (b) the total number of FPOs that have been registered as 100 percent women members FPO; and (c) the total number of women farmers out of the overall registration in all FPOs in the country? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE FOR AGRICULTURE AND FARMERS WELFARE कृ(cid:874)ष एवं (cid:873)कसान क(cid:227)याण रा(cid:207)य म(cid:287)ं ी (SHRI BHAGIRATH CHOUDHARY) (a): The Government is implementing a Central Sector Scheme for “Formation and Promotion of 10,000 Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs)”. As on 1st March 2026, 10,000 Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) have been registered across the country under this scheme. (b): As on 1st March, 2026, 1175 FPOs are registered as 100% women members under the 10,000 FPOs scheme. (c): As on 1st March, 2026, 23.55 lakh women farmers are registered across the country under the 10,000 FPOs scheme. *****
