SHRI IMRAN MASOOD: Will the Minister of SKILL DEVELOPMENT AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP be pleased to state: (a) the details of the sectors in which skill enhancement is being done through Kaushal Vikas Kendras(KVKs) in the country; (b) the number of youth trained through Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and Kaushal Vikas Kendras in Uttar Pradesh especially Saharanpur district under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) 1.0, PMKVY 2.0, PMKVY 3.0 and PMKVY 4.0 along with the number of beneficiaries who gained self employment or employed in various industries after the said training; (c) whether the Government has any mechanism in place to monitor the youth who are self- employed or employed in various industries under the said Yojana; and (d) if so, the percentage of the self-employed youth or the youth employed continuously in various industries for at least five years? Details of the candidates reported placed under PMKVY (1.0, 2.0, and 3.0) in the state of Uttar Pradesh and its Saharanpur district are as under: Reported Placed Uttar Pradesh 3,38,882 Saharanpur, UP 7,063 Under PMKVY 4.0, the focus is to empower trained candidates to choose their varied career path and they are suitably oriented for the same. Further, various IT tools like Skill India Digital Hub (SIDH) also gives this opportunity. The details of the trained candidates are available on SIDH portal for connecting them with potential employers. Through SIDH, candidates can have access to jobs and apprenticeship opportunities. Further, Rozgar Melas and PM National Apprenticeship Melas (PMNAMs) have been organized to facilitate the placements opportunities to the certified candidates. MSDE’s flagship scheme PMKVY was evaluated by NITI Aayog in October 2020. As per the study, about 94 percent of the employers surveyed reported they would hire more candidates trained under PMKVY. Further, 52 percent of the candidates who were placed in full time/part time employment and oriented under the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) component received higher salary or felt that they will get higher salary compared to their un-certified peers. *****
