Maharashtra Civil Courts aCt.
No. Nyasthap-0325/269/C.R.69/DESK-11.— In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 21,
22A and 23 of the Maharashtra Civil Courts Act (XIV of 1869), and of all other powers enabling
it in this behalf; and in partial modification of all earlier notifications issued in that behalf, in so
far as they relate to the Court of Civil Judge, Senior Division, Sangamner, sub-ordinate to the
District Court, Ahmednagar, the Government of Maharashtra, hereby directs that, with effect from
22nd February, 2026, —
(a) there shall be a Civil Court at Akole, sub-ordinate to the District Court, Ahmednagar in
Ahilyanagar District;
(b) the said Court shall be presided over by the Civil Judge (Senior Division) who shall hold
his Court at Akole; and
(c) the local limits of the ordinary jurisdiction of the Civil Judge (Senior Division), Akole, in
Ahilyanagar District shall comprise the areas covered within the local limits of the revenue tehsil of
Akole in Ahilyanagar District and work from the said tehsil, which was heretofore included within the
local limits of the ordinary and special jurisdiction of the Civil Judge (Senior Division), Sangamner
in Ahilyanagar District shall be excluded therefrom.
