PART IV-A Rules and Orders (Other than those published in Parts I, I-A, and I-L) made by the Government of Gujarat under the Central Acts FOOD, CIVIL SUPPLIES AND CONSUMER AFFAIRS DEPARTMENT NOTIFICATION Sachivalaya, Gandhinagar, 18th November, 2025 CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT, 2019. NO. GTH/2025/20/FCSCAD/SCM/e-file/5/2023/0043/D:- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section-102 of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 (35 of 2019), the Government of Gujarat hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Gujarat Consumer Protection (salary, allowances and conditions of service of President and Members of the State Commission and District Commission) Rules, 2021, namely: – 1. (1) These rules may be called the Gujarat Consumer Protection (salary, allowances and conditions of service of President and Members of the State Commission and District Commission) (Amendment) Rules, 2025. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the Gujarat Consumer Protection (salary, allowances and conditions of service of President and Members of the State Commission and District Commission) Rules, 2021 (hereinafter referred to as “the said rules”) for rule 3, the following rule shall be substituted, namely:- IV-A Ex.-158 158-1158-2 GUJARAT GOVERNMENT GAZETTE, EX., 18-11-2025 [ PART IV-A “3. Salaries and allowances of the President and Members of the District Commission. - (1) The President shall be entitled to receive the pay and allowances as admissible to a District Judge in the Super-Time Scale of Pay, as prescribed by the recommendations of the 2nd National Judicial Pay Commission. (2) A Member shall be entitled to receive the pay and allowances as admissible to a District Judge in Selection Grade at entry level, as prescribed by the recommendations of the 2nd National Judicial Pay Commission. (3) The ‘last pay drawn’ by the Presidents/Members of the District Commissions shall be protected, in the event it is higher than the pay and allowances prescribed under these rules. (4) The pay of a person appointed as President/Member, shall be entitled to draw the pay minus pension, if any, admissible to them. (5) There shall be an annual upward revision of the pay of the President and member at the rate of 3%. (6) The salary, remuneration and other allowances shall be defrayed out of the consolidated Fund of the State Government”. 3. In the said rules, rule 4, the following rule shall be substituted, namely: - “4. Salaries and allowances payable to President and members of the State Commission. - (1) The President shall be entitled to the salary and allowances as admissible to a sitting judge of the High Court of the Gujarat. (2) A Member shall be entitled to receive the pay and allowances as admissible to a District Judge in Super- Time scale of pay, as prescribed by the recommendations of the 2nd National Judicial Pay Commission. (3) The ‘last pay drawn’ by the Presidents/Members of the State Commissions shall be protected, in the event it is higher than the pay and allowances prescribed under these rules. (4) The pay of a person appointed as President/Member, shall be entitled to draw the pay minus pension, if any, admissible to them. (5) There shall be an annual upward revision of the pay of a member at the rate of 3%. (6) The Salary, remuneration and other allowances shall be defrayed out of the consolidated Fund of the State Government”. 4. In the said rules, in rule 5, sub-rule (3) shall be deleted”.
