PART IV-A Rules and Orders (Other than those published in Parts I, I-A, and I-L) made by the Government of Gujarat under the Central Acts HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE DEPARTMENT NOTIFICATION Sachivalaya, Gandhinagar, 17th August, 2026 REGISTRATION OF BIRTHS AND DEATHS ACT, 1969. No. GY/13/HFWD/MSB/e-file/7/2024/4980/B1:- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 13 read with section 30 of the Registration of Births and Deaths Act, 1969 (18 of 1969) and sub-rule (2) of rule 9 of the Gujarat Registration of Births and Deaths Rules, 2018, the Government of Gujarat hereby authorizes the officers shown in column (2) as a competent authority to grant written permission for registration of births and deaths of which delayed information is given to the Registrar after thirty days but within one year of its occurrence, within the jurisdiction specified in column (3) against each of them, in the following Table, namely:– IV-A Ex.-123 123-1123-2 GUJARAT GOVERNMENT GAZETTE, EX., 18-08-2026 [ PART IV-A Table Sr. No. Authority Jurisdiction (1) (2) (3) 1. The officers specified above shall exercise the said powers only in respect of cases covered under sub-rule (2) of rule 9, namely, cases where delayed information of birth or death is given to the Registrar after thirty days but within one year of its occurrence. 2. Such registration shall be subject to payment of late fee of rupees fifty and production of self-attested document, electronically or otherwise, in Form No. 14, as prescribed under the said rules. 3. Cases in which delayed information is given to the Registrar after one year of the occurrence of birth or death shall continue to be dealt with under sub-rule (3) of rule 9 of the Gujarat Registration of Births and Deaths (Amendment) Rules, 2025. 4. This notification shall come into force from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
