NOTIFICATION
Maharashtra Motor Vehicles tax act.
No.PSP-2022/C.R.34/Road–8.– In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (1-A), (1-B),
(1-C) and (1-E) of section 20 of the Maharashtra Motor Vehicles Tax Act (LXV of 1958), and of all other
powers enabling it in that behalf, the Government of Maharashtra hereby declares that the toll shall
be levied on the classes of motor vehicles specified in column (2) of the Schedule I appended hereto and
on the trailers drawn by such motor vehicles, passing over any of the bridges, flyover bridges, Railway
over or under bridges including approach roads thereto subways, sections of roads or by-passes
situated within or on the periphery of Solapur which are being newly constructed, reconstructed,
improved or repaired, or which form a part of Solapur City Integrated Road Development Project,
more particularly described in Schedule II appended hereto, the cluster of which has been declared
as one single entity for the purposes of section 20 of the said Act, under the ‘Build, Operate and
Transfer (BOT)’ scheme at the rates, specified against each of the said motor vehicles in column (3)
of the said Schedule I with effect from 1st January 2026 to 31st March 2026, at each of the following
toll collection centers constructed at (1) Kilometer 7/650 on Solapur-Hotgi Road, Major District Road
Number 39, (2) Kilometer 61/900 on Solapur-Barshi Road, State Highway Number 151, (3) Kilometer
365/950 on Solapur-Degaon Mangalwedha Road, Major State Highway Number 3 and (4) Kilometer
79/900 on Solapur-Akkalkot Road, State Highway Number 151.

Notes. -
(1) If a vehicle user purchases a toll coupon book in advance containing 50 or 100 coupons, he
shall be given a discount of 25 per cent. and 50 per cent. respectively.
(2) The following types of motor vehicles are exempted from payment of toll, namely:-
(i) Central and State Government Vehicles ;
(ii) Defence Vehicles ;
(iii) Police Vehicles ;
(iv) Fire Fighting Vehicles ;
(v) Ambulances ;
(vi) Hearses ;
(vii) Vehicles of Post and Telegraph Department ;
(viii) Vehicle carrying sitting members of Parliament, Maharashtra Legislative Assembly and
Maharashtra Legislative Council ;
(ix) Vehicle in which ex-members of Parliament, Maharashtra Legislative Assembly and
Maharashtra Legislative Council are travelling ;
(x) Buses of the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (ST) ;

(3) For the purpose of this notification, the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation
Limited, Mumbai, is authorized to collect the toll at the above specified toll collection centres for the
above mentioned period and retain the amount of the toll.
