NOTIFICATION
Maharashtra Motor Vehicles tax act.
No. PSP-2022/C.R.34/Road-8.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (1-A), (1-B),
(1-C), (1-D) and (1-E) of section 20 of the Maharashtra Motor Vehicles Tax Act (LXV of 1958), and of
all other powers enabling it in this behalf, the Government of Maharashtra hereby declares that the
toll shall be levied on the classes of motor vehicles specified in column (2) of the Schedule appended
hereto and on the trailors drawn by such motor vehicles, passing over any of the newly constructed
flyover bridges, railway over bridges or roads constructed, reconstructed, improved or repaired as
the case may be, the cluster of which is situated within the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar City (more
particularly described in the note appened hereinafter), which is declared as one single entity for
the purposes of the said section 20 of the said Act, under ‘Build, Operate and Transfer (BOT)’ Basis
by the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation Limited, Mumbai, at the rates specified
against each of the said vehicles in column (3) of the said Schedule, with affect from the 1st January
2026 to 31st March 2026, at toll collection centers constructed on,-
(a) near Sawangi Village on Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar - Jalgaon Road (M.D.R.-8) at
Kilometer 238/700,
(b) Nakshatrawadi Village on Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar - Paithan Road (S.H.-30), at
Kilometer 336/800, and
(c) near Lasur Village on Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar - Lasur Road (S.H.-30).

entries at serial numbers 1, 3 and 4.

defined in the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 (59 of 1988), such as Truck-
Trailers combination, Multi-axle Vehicles, etc., except vehicles
covered by the entry at serial number 3 above.
Notes. -
(1) The cluster of the Roads and Bridge shall include the constructions of Flyover Bridges in
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar city; construction of RoB’s at Ladgaon on Jalna Road, Zalta Bypass,
near Shivajinagar and Sangramnagar on Beed Bypass Road and Ahmednagar Naka, Four laning
of Shendra Industrial area to Chikalthana and Zalta Diversion; Service Road to Beed Bypass
Road, Construction of Paithan Link Road Joining Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar – Paithan Road and
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar - Ahemadngar Highway to Tisgaon - Lasur Station Road; Improvement
(to national highway standard) of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Paithan Road; and providing hard
shoulders to Gangapur phata to Waluj.
(2) A vehicle owner who purchases a toll coupon book in advance containing 50 or 100 coupons,
will be given a discount of 25 per cent. and 50 per cent. respectively.
(3) The following types of vehicles are exempted from payment of toll namely :-
(i) VVIP Vehicle carrying President of India, Vice President of India, Governor of States,
Public Representatives entitled for red lamp on vehicles.
(ii) Vehicle carrying sitting Members of Parliament, Maharashtra Legislative Assembly
and Maharashtra Legislative Council.
(iii) Vehicle carrying ex-members of Parliament, Maharashtra Legislative Assembly and
Maharashtra Legislative Council.
(iv) Government Vehicles.
(v) Defence Vehicles.
(vi) Police Vehicles.
(vii) Fire Fighting Vehicles.
(viii) Ambulances.
(ix) Hearses.
(x) Vehicles of Posts and Telegraphs Department.
(xi) Buses of Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation.
(xii) Buses carrying School Children.
(4) For this purpose, the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation Limited, Mumbai,
is authorized to collect and retain the amount of toll at the above toll collection centers.
