NOTIFICATION
No.PSP-2005/C.R.135/Part-1/Road-9A.— Whereas, the Governor of Maharashtra through
Secretary, Public Works Department, Mantralaya, Mumbai and M/s. Supreme Suyog Funicular
Ropeway Pvt. Ltd. 8, Bhavani Services Industrial Estate, I.I.T Main Gate, Powai, Mumbai- 400 076
have entered into Concession Agreement, on the 22nd February 2012, including all the subsequent
agreements entered between them, for construction, operation and maintenance of “Construction
of Funicular Trolly System under BOT at Hajimalang Gad, Taluka-Ambernath, Dist. Thane” (here
in after referred to as “the said Project”), constructed under the Build, Operate and Transfer (BOT)
Scheme;
And whereas, Concessionaire has created a SPV for this purpose in the name of “M/s. Supreme
Suyog Funicular Ropeway Pvt. Ltd.” as per contract Volume II page No.14 , Clause No. 02 and
Government vide its letter No. PSP 2005/C.R.135/Road-9A, dated the 18th September 2012 has
approved the same;
And whereas, as per the said agreement, the concession period of 25 years, 05 Months has been
granted to the concessionaire to construct, operate and maintain “the said project” from the date of
commencement of the work. i.e., on the 22nd February 2012, which includes the period of construction
of 24 Months;
And whereas, the Government of Maharashtra is of the opinion that the construction, operation
and maintenance of the said project is special service to the public and, therefore, after completion of
the said work, considers it expedient to levy and collect the user fee on the said project at the Ticket
Counter constructed in the premises of the project at Haji Malang Gad, Taluka Ambernath.
Now therefore, the Government of Maharashtra hereby declares that the user fee shall be levied
for the passangers using Funicular Trolley as specified in column (3, 4 & 5) of the Schedule appended
hereto constructed under the “Build, Operate and Transfer (BOT) Scheme” by M/s. Supreme Suyog
Funicular Ropeway Pvt. Ltd., at their expenses, at the Ticket Counter, constructed in the premises
of the said project at HajiMalang Gad, Taluka Ambernath, Dist. Thane for the period commencing
from the 14th January, 2026 and ending on the 31st December 2027.

1. For the purpose of this notification, M/s. Supreme Suyog Funicular Ropeway Pvt. Ltd. is
authorized to collect and retain the amount of user fee at the project premises constructed
at HajiMalang Gad, Taluka Ambernath.
2. Classification of passengers is as below-
i) Class A- Passengers of age group 12 to 75 years. Class A passengers shall have to pay

ii) Class B- Passengers of age group 3 to 12 years and also the person beyond the age of
75 years and walking disability persons. Class B passengers shall have to pay half
fare.
iii) Each passenger can carry maximum permissible 5.00 kg household luggage along
with him/her while traveling in finicular car and luggage more than 5.00 kg can be
transported in luggage ropeway with charge as per frieght rates shown in user fee
rates.
3. Passengers of age group below 3 years do not require ticket.
4. The dignitaries mentioned below are exempted from payment of user fee.
i) President of India, Vice President of India, Governor of State, Public Representatives.
ii) Sitting members of Parliament, Maharashtra Legislative Assembly and Maharashtra
Legislative Council.
iii) Ex-members of Parliament from Maharashtra, Maharashtra Legislative Assembly
and Maharashtra Legislative Council.
iv) Foreign dignitaries travelling on State visit (on reciprocal basis country wise
concession for consulate).
5. Ticket Rates and Freight Rates shall be displayed on boards clearly visible to people in
the vicinity of Ticket Collection Centre.
6. Electronic display board clearly visible to the people should be installed at the entrance
of the project.
7. Computerized fee receipt should be provided to each passenger.
8. Quarterly concession passes with photo identity will be issued for passengers residing and
doing business at Hajimalang Gad.
