PART IV-B Rules and Orders (Other than those published in Parts I, I-A, and I-L) made by the Government of Gujarat under the Gujarat Acts REVENUE DEPARTMENT NOTIFICATION Sachivalaya, Gandhinagar, 1st April, 2026 GUJARAT LAND REVENUE CODE, 1879. No.GHM/2026/53/M/RD/PRM/e-file/15/2026/2977/J: WHEREAS, objections and suggestions were invited from all persons likely to be affected thereby; AND WHEREAS, after consideration of objections, suggestions and in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 214 read with section 135D of the Gujarat Land Revenue Code, 1879 (Bom. V of 1879), the Government of Gujarat hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Gujarat Land Revenue Rules, 1972, namely: - 1. Short title and commencement: - (i) These rules may be called the Gujarat Land Revenue (Amendment) Rules, 2026. (ii) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the Gujarat Land Revenue Rules, 1972, in rule 107, sub-rule (4A) shall be substituted as following: (4 A) (i) In the case of entry of online encumbrance creation by bank and removal of encumbrances where online encumbrance has been created by bank, objection shall be raised within 10(ten) days from the date of service of last notice. (ii) In the following cases, the objections against a mutation entry shall be raised within 7 days from the date of mutation entry: (a) A mutation entry regarding a registered sale deed where any change in the Record of Rights has occurred within one year preceding the execution of the sale deed; or (b) A mutation entry regarding a registered sale deed executed by a Power of Attorney holder; or IV-B Ex.-87 87-187-2 GUJARAT GOVERNMENT GAZETTE, EX., 01-04-2026 [ PART IV-B (c) Where all persons whose names appear in the Record of Rights have not executed the registered sale deed; or (d) Any dispute, proceeding, or litigation relating to the land is pending before any competent authority, court, or tribunal on the date of execution of the sale deed; Provided that the period of raising objections for mutations other than those mentioned above as per section 135D of the Code shall be 30 (thirty) days from the date of service of the last notice to the persons having interest therein as mentioned in sub section(2) of section 135D (2) of the Code. (iii) For notices under section 135D to be served electronically, the following procedure shall be followed, namely: - (a) The e-mail address of all the persons having interest therein shall be as provided in the Application Form. (b) Portable Document Format (PDF) copy of notice under section 135D of the Code shall be sent electronically. If no objection is raised within the prescribed time, the decision shall be taken".
