PLI scheme for Pharmaceutical Sectors

Department of Pharmaceuticals PLI scheme for Pharmaceutical Sectors प्रव तथ: 07 AUG 2026 3:01PM by PIB Delhi Under the PLI Scheme for Pharmaceuticals, the performance period commenced in FY 2022-23. Out of the total financial outlay of ₹15,000 crore for this scheme, an incentive amount of ₹6,659 crore has been disbursed till March 2026.

Under PLI Scheme for Bulk Drugs, out of the total outlay of ₹6,940 crore, an incentive amount of ₹87.70 crore has been disbursed till March 2026. Implementation of projects under the PLI Scheme for Bulk Drugs faced constraints on some accounts such as time consumed for land acquisition, environmental clearance, high utility costs, long gestation period for fermentation based bulk drugs etc. These factors collectively led to delayed commissioning of projects. Consequently, the disbursement of funds was affected as incentives are released based on sales of the eligible products manufactured from these projects.

The details of amount disbursed since the inception of the schemes are as follows:
