The Department of Posts, Government of India, will be organizing the UPU 2026 International Letter Writing
Competition for Young People at four locations in Goa on March 15th, 2026. The competition is being
conducted as part of the annual global initiative of the Universal Postal Union (UPU) to promote creativity,
critical thinking, and the art of letter writing amongst school students.
The Department of Posts, Goa Division, Goa, will conduct the competition at Goa University, Saraswat
Vidyalaya High School, Mapusa; A. J. De Almeida High School, Ponda, and Rosary Higher Secondary School,
Navelim.
Children in the age group of 9 to 15 years are eligible to participate in the competition. Interested candidates
must submit details including name, address, date of birth, gender, school name and the preferred center by
