Day and celebrated India's rich and vibrant handloom heritage. He paid tribute to the skill, creativity and
dedication of the country's weavers and artisans, noting that for generations they have preserved and
enriched India's timeless traditions through their craftsmanship.
Shri Modi reaffirmed the Government's commitment to supporting the handloom sector, describing it as
an important pillar of rural empowerment, women-led development and the vision of an Atmanirbhar
Bharat. The Prime Minister also urged citizens to share their favourite handloom products and GRWM
videos on social media.
