Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today recalled the valour of all those who were a part of the historic
Assam Movement, on the occasion of Swahid diwas.
Shri Modi emphasized that the Assam Movement continues to inspire generations and reaffirmed the
Government’s dedication to realizing the vision of cultural strength and holistic development for the state.
In his message on X, the Prime Minister stated:
“Today, on Swahid Diwas, we recall the valour of all those who were a part of the Assam Movement. The
Movement will always have a prime place in our history. We reiterate our commitment to fulfilling the
