Posted On: 02 FEB 2026 12:56PM by PIB Delhi The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam emphasising on Self-reliance: "नाोधरथतामेत सदाोभश्च पूयत े। आत्मा त ुपात्रतां नेयः पात्रमाया सम्पदः॥" The Subhashitam conveys that, the ocean never asks for water, yet it is always full. In the same way, when a person becomes capable, wealth comes to them naturally.
Shri Modi stated that self reliance is that lamp which shows the path of self-respect and capability and this time’s budget too will play an important role in making our young companions self-reliant and empowered.
