The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, paid heartfelt tributes to the great revolutionary martyr Udham
Singh on his Balidan Diwas. He said that the saga of courage and valour embodied in Udham Singh’s life
will continue to inspire every generation of the country to uphold the honour and self-respect of the
motherland.
The Prime Minister shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam-
“न जातु शौय पुरुषस्य भानुरस्तं गतो भवत कदाप शश्वत्।
यथा पुनस्तपत दवाकरोऽयं तथा पुनवक्रमते स वीरः॥”
The Subhashitam conveys that The sun of valor never sets permanently. Just as the sun rises and shines
