The erstwhile 34 TERM Cells were restructured into 22 Licensed Service Area (LSA) field Units each headed by HAG+/HAG Level Officers. Heads of LSA field Units report to Director General Telecom, an apex level post approved by the Cabinet. 2. It has been decided that: a) Higher Administrative Grade Plus (HAG+) level Officer heading LSA field Unit will henceforth be designated as Special Director General Telecom; b) Higher Administrative Grade (HAG) level Officer heading LSA field Unit will henceforth be designated as Additional Director General Telecom. 3. Annexure-III of the DoT notification No. 9-5(1)/2016-Estt. dated 23.02.2017 stands amended to this extent. 4. This issues with the approval of Competent Authority.
