New Delhi, the 15th April, 2025 S.O. 1719(E).— Whereas by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Coal number S. O. 2505(E) , dated the 28th June, 2024, issued under sub-section (1) of section 7 of the Coal Bearing Areas (Acquisition and Development) Act, 1957 (20 of 1957) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), dated the 28th June, 2024 the Central Government gave notice of its intention to acquire 665.77 hectares (approximately) or 1645.12 acres (approximately) lands and all rights in or over such lands specified in the Schedule annexed to that notification; And whereas the competent authority in pursuance of section 8 of the said Act, has made his report to the Central Government; And whereas, the Central Government, after considering the aforesaid report and after consulting to the Government of Maharashtra, is satisfied that the lands measuring 615.56 hectares (approximately) or 1521.05 acres (approximately) and all rights in or over such lands as described in the Schedule appended hereto, should be acquired; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 9 of the Coal Bearing Areas (Acquisition and Development) Act, 1957, (20 of 1957), the Central Government hereby declares that all rights in or over the land measuring 615.56 hectares (approximately) or 1521.05 acres (approximately) as described in the said Schedule are hereby acquired.
