NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 15th April, 2025
S.O. 1718(E).— Whereas by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Coal
number S.O. 2010(E), dated the 17th May 2024, issued under sub-section (1) of section 7 of the Coal Bearing
Areas (Acquisition and Development) Act, 1957 (20 or 1957), (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) and
published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), dated the 17th May 2024,
the Central Government gave notice of its intention to acquire the land measuring 42.000 hectares
(approximately) or 103.782 acres (approximately) and all the rights in or over such land described in the
Schedule appended to that notification;
And whereas, the competent authority in pursuance of section 8 of the said Act has made his report to
the Central Government;
And whereas the Central Government after considering the aforesaid report and after consulting the
Government of Chhattisgarh, is satisfied that the land measuring 41.992 hectares (approximately) or 103.762
acres (approximately) and all the rights in or over such land as described in Schedule appended hereto should
be acquired;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 9 of the said Act, the
Central Government hereby declares that the land measuring 41.992 hectares (approximately) or 103.762
acres (approximately) and all rights in or over such land as described in the Schedule are hereby acquired.
The plan bearing number SECL/BSP/GM(L&R) Land/12 dated the 1st October, 2024 of the area covered
by this notification may be inspected in the office of the Collector, District Raigarh (Chhattisgarh) or in the
office of the Coal Controller, Coal Controller Organisation, Ministry of Coal, 5th Floor, Core II, Scope Minar,
Laxmi Nagar, Delhi 110092 or in the office of the South Eastern Coalfields Limited (Revenue Section),
Seepat Road, Bilaspur 495006, Chhattisgarh.
