S.O. 3583(E).— In pursuance of the provisions of sub-section (4) of section 21 of the Mines and
Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act, 1957 (67 of 1957), the Central Government hereby authorises
the following officers of the Central Industrial Security Forces (CISF) mentioned in column (4) of the Table
below to exercise all or any of the powers specified in that section in the areas indicated in column (3) of the
said table, for the purposes specified in the said section in respect of coal and lignite specified in Part A of
the First Schedule to the Act, namely: —
