अतः, अब, संयुक्त राष्ट्र (जििेषाजधकार और उन्मुजक्त) अजधजनयम, 1947 (1947 का 46) की धारा 3
द्वारा प्रदत्त िजक्तयों का प्रयोग करत े हुए, केन्र सरकार एतद्द्वारा घोषणा करती ह ै दक उक्त अजधजनयम की अनुसूची
के अनुच्छेद I की धारा 1, अनुच्छेद II के अंतगता प्रािधान, अनुच्छेद III की धारा 9, अनुच्छेद V की धारा 18

और 20 तथा अनुच्छेद VI की धारा 22 और 23, यथोजचत पररितानों के साथ, अंतरााष्ट्रीय पोटैटो सेंटर

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 2nd September, 2025
S.O. 4102(E).—Whereas, the Government of India signed the Memorandum of Agreement with the
International Potato Center on 28th July, 2025 for establishing the International Potato Center( CIP) in India;
And whereas, Article 11 of the said Memorandum of Agreement provides for privileges and
immunities of the International Potato Center, its representatives and officials;
And whereas, the Central Government considers it expedient to extend the necessary privileges
and immunities provided under the United Nations (Privileges and Immunities) Act, 1947 (46 of 1947) to the
International Potato Center, its representatives and officials in accordance with Article 11 of the said
Memorandum of Agreement;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the United Nations (Privileges
and Immunities) Act, 1947 (46 of 1947), the Central Government hereby declares that the provisions of
section 1 of Article I, provisions under Article II, section 9 of Article III, sections 18 and 20 of Article V and
sections 22 and 23 of Article VI of the Schedule to the said Act shall apply, mutatis mutandis, to the
International Potato Center (CIP), its representatives and officials.
